Marion Livran
Marion Livran is a Parisian artist who trained in engraving, first in linocut, then in direct and indirect carving.
Engraving was a first meditative way, to remove layer after layer, the superfluous, while sparing the essential.
Very sensitive to the body, to what it gives to see, to touch, to feel, to its movements, its density, its composition... she tries to capture the fragility of this envelope and the track that our lives leave in it, on surface and in depth.
Her reflections focus on their cellular and psychic memories, their scars, their folds, their transparency, their uniqueness.
Engraving a matrix (which comes from Mater, mother) allows her to stamp, in hollow or in relief, her paper, to leave a mark, a unique fingerprint.
